NEW AMEX HOUSE - BRIGHTON

American Express the financial services giant is still on track to develop a new £140m headquarters in Brighton. Amex will begin construction of the 200,000 sq ft property — which will be 10% bigger than Amex House — in March 2010 and it will take two years. The new office is a part of Amex’s “global improvement” programme.

Stanton Consulting have been working in conjunction with a lead consortium to provide an in depth technical proposal for this scheme.

We were tasked with providing a baseline mechanical design along with Value Engineering & Sustaianability options to enhance the tender.

It will have enhanced technology, its own tier 4 data centre, a flexible office environment and improved open public space.

The property will rise up to nine storeys and will be between John Street, Carlton Hill and Mighell Street in the city centre. This site is behind Amex House, which will be demolished when the new building is completed.
